For years, I did all the recommended things when emotions or triggers came up.
I meditated. I journaled.
I even suppressed my emotions and needs to keep the peace.
While those things often worked temporarily, once I got into a relationship or went and stayed with my family so many old emotions came up… I was constantly being triggered.
As someone who coaches others on this, I knew I had old stored emotions that were keeping me from acting like myself and had me reacting in a way I just didn’t want to react.
I needed to actively let go of the emotion.
As a meditation teacher I had an understanding of what the mind needs to actually let go of old emotion, so I developed the E.A.S.E process.
I used the E.A.S.E process to work with the emotion, finally letting it move through my system. Once I did that, triggers lost their charge.
