This is a crazy, wild, busy, loud and intense world we live in.

There has never been a time where meditation is more necessary. We are pulled from the tranquility of inner stillness every day.

The outside world is fighting for, and biding, for your attention, depending on your anxiety, stress and overwhelm for profit.

Some degree of mental mastery has become paramount to be able to stay true who you are and who you were born to be.

The natural, inner sense of who you are, in your heart, comes alive in the presence of stillness.

But stillness is something that we have to learn, practice and train ourselves in. And once we are stable within stillness, we can take it into the world, feeling more capable, adaptable, present and resolute than ever before.

There is a light of goodness, simplicity, beauty, ease, power and grace that shines from deep within you. You didn’t create that light and you can’t turn it off. 

Meditation, mastering your mindset and returning to stillness, clears the way so that light, that is already there, can do what it is meant to do: shine. 

You are here to brighten the world. Not through doing anything in particular, or achieving anything, just by being you. This course is intended to connect you with your birthright of living wholly and freely.

There is a common misconception that meditation is just about getting calm. This is true, but it is only a small part of the truth. Meditation also supports us to change our mind, improve our character and empower our psychology so that the deeper truth of who and what we are can emerge.

The mind - when set correctly - becomes the garden bed through which the seeds in the heart strike, grow and blossom.

Stillness an inner foundation of peace, calm and confidence that we then can take into effective and empowered action in the world. Stillness isn’t the end game, life and meditation aren’t about inaction and passivity. This is about being able to be conscious in your choice about how and when to act.

It’s Michael here and I am thrilled beyond words to be hosting this 4 week introduction to meditation course.

Turn back the clock about 6 or 7 years and I used to run courses like this all the time. It felt so fulfilling for me to be sharing the gift of meditation with the world, far and wide and seeing it genuinely make an impact in the lives of ordinary people like you and I.

The past 7 years have also been amazing. Hannah (my wife) and I have travelled around the world, we had our son, Nalu, and we have created an epic online business focused primarily around running our 11-month Meditation Teacher Training called Fire and Water.

After so many years of focusing just on our teaching training and doing one on one coaching work, I am pumped to have this course available online so anyone who is drawn to this work can benefit from the gift of meditation and the associated breathing practices.

SESSION LAYOUT

Introduction Session
Learn why stillness is the foundation of meditation practices, the fundamentals of meditation and everything else you need to know to be successful in this course.

  1. Still Breath
    Learn how the breath can lead the mind into stillness. The breath also can become the master switch over regulating your nervous system. Learn how to optimise your resting breath rate for calmness and health.

  2. Still Thoughts
    Learn how to deeply concentrate and settle your attention. You will learn to how to master distractions and come to understand the space that exists beyond stress and behind thinking.

  3. Still Emotions
    Learn how meditation helps us to release turbulent, stagnant or harboured emotions. Learn how when the emotions become relatively still they naturally orient more towards the positive, then you can grow positive emotions of the heart.

  4. Still Heart
    Learn how to take rest in your heart. The heart becomes the seat of the spirit through which you can cultivate clarity as to how to effectively and authentically move through world. Learn to recognise the unique qualities within your heart - kindness, courage, gentleness for e.g. - and how to bring them fully alive.

COURSE INCLUDES

  • 1 x 30 minute introduction session  

  • 4 x 1-hour sessions - 1 session per week for 4 weeks

  • 4 x 15 - 20 minutes Breathwork and meditation audio recordings that couple with each session so you can easily integrate what you learn into your life.

HOW IT WORKS:
The 4 sessions in Stillness will be prerecorded and available for you to move through at your own pace.

Although, we recommend you do it as one class per week and practice each audio meditation each day for 7 days so you can integrate it before moving onto the next session.

You’ll have ongoing access to the recordings of the live sessions and the audio meditations so you can revisit them anytime you want.

FAQ’S

Do I have to be experienced in meditation to attend this course? 

No way, all are welcome and encouraged. This course has been designed for beginners but will also be valuable for those who have been practicing for sometime as the approach is unique in bringing traditional practices, neuroscience and coaching principles all together.

Can I pay it off or does it have to be paid in full?

Paid in full. But if you are called to do this training and the price is a stretch for you, reach out and let us know.


What is the style of meditation you will be teaching?

These meditation practices and teachings are universal, meaning that they are suited to, and applicable for, all beings. That being said, the practices can wonderfully complement your existing religious or spiritual beliefs and practices if you have them.  I myself follow the way of Jesus and do my best to live a faith-led-life but that is not at all necessary for you as this course is more psychologically based. On top of the traditional meditation teachings the course is influenced by our studies and research into the fields of Neuro Linguistic Programming and Positive Neuroplasticity/psychology. These modern sciences and practices perfectly complement the traditional foundation. 


Do I have to take the course in order of how the sessions are sent out?

Yes. The course unfolds progressively so please do each session in order. Spend one week doing each audio practice before moving onto the next. It can really help to have a set day - once per week - that you commit to watching the video content.


What kind of benefits will I see from attending this course?

Participants in the past report that they feel more calm, more sustained energy, better sleep, better ability to regulate their emotions, more patience and increased confidence to name a few. Of course we could never guarantee any particular results as every human is unique and complex in their own way, but we always to our very best to make sure everyone is positively benefiting from their participation. Also, over the course of the 4 weeks you are learning a new skill, so the thorough application of that skill really starts once the course has finished! We always recommend continued, sustained practice as the best way to really see powerful change in your life. We will teach you everything you need to know, and continue to support you and be champions of your success into the future.
