Fire and Water

WHAT IF THE NEXT LEVEL OF YOUR LIFE DOESN’T REQUIRE MORE FROM YOU

Maybe what got you here isn’t what takes you there.

Next Training Begins October 2026 -

THERE’S A TIME TO PUSH

AND A TIME TO RECEIVE

A time to hold it together and a time to let yourself feel

A time to surrender and a time to find the fire to finally move

A time to make things happen.

And a time to actually experience what you’ve created

The people who live fully aren’t permanently calm or endlessly driven.

They have range.

I call it fire and water.

Fire is the part of you that moves.

Courage. Action. Expression. Boundaries. Conviction. Creation.

Water is the part of you that allows.

Presence. Feeling. Intuition. Connection. Receptivity. Surrender.

Most of us become very good at one end of the spectrum.

The work isn’t becoming less of who you are.

It’s developing access to more of yourself.

Some of us know fire.

You know how to achieve, lead, solve, push, perform and make things happen.

And it works for you.

Until you realise you’ve become so good at creating a life that you’ve forgotten how to actually EXPERIENCE it.

You don’t need to extinguish the fire. You need water.

You need to add in the capacity to soften, receive, feel, connect, trust and be here.

Some of us know water.

You feel deeply, reflect, understand, process, imagine.

You can spend years exploring yourself and knowing exactly why you are the way you are.

But knowing isn’t always moving.

Eventually, something asks us to act.

To choose, to speak, to hold the boundary, to back yourself, to bring the thing you’ve been dreaming about into the world.

You need fire.

Neither is better.

The magic is having access to both.

The goal isn’t balance.

I’m not saying you need a perfect, 50/50 balance all the time.

Nah, you need the whole range.

To have access to all of yourself.

To know when the moment calls for Fire and when it calls for Water.

When to act and when to surrender.

When to hold on and when to let go.

When to speak and when to listen.

When to fucking go for it and when to sit back and receive what you’ve already created.

That is fire and water.

Now imagine not only mastering this yourself… but being able to take someone else there.

Because if you’re a coach, teacher, facilitator, practitioner or leader, you probably work with people who already know a lot.

They know their patterns.

They know their limiting beliefs.

They might even know why they keep doing the thing.

And sometimes another conversation about it isn’t what they need.

They need to experience something different.

To feel the thing they’ve been avoiding. To access the courage that simply cannot think their way into. To let go of something they’ve been gripping. To actually hear themselves underneath all the noise.

That’s what we teach you to facilitate.

This is the Fire and Water Method

A method for creating meditation experiences that move way beyond relaxation and into genuine transformation.

Inside Fire and Water Meditation Teacher Training you’ll spend six months learning it from both sides.

You’ll live it.

You’ll develop your own capacity for Fire and Water and learn to access more of yourself.

And you’ll learn to lead it.

You’ll develop the skills to create and facilitate powerful meditation experiences for other people - whether you are bringing Fire and Water into the work you already do or building an entirely new career around it.

Learn.

Live.

Lead.

WHAT SIX MONTHS INSIDE FIRE AND WATER LOOKS LIKE

This isn’t a library of videos and a certificate at the end.

It’s six months of becoming exceptionally good at this craft.

1. Six Months of Live Training

This is a six-month immersion into the Fire and Water Method. You learn it by practicing it, reflecting on it, and letting it take shape in your own body. You’ll guide meditations, sit in the student seat, refine your presence, and receive thoughtful feedback that actually moves you forward. Our WhatsApp group keeps you supported throughout, not just during the live calls. By the end, teaching won’t feel like something you have to psych yourself up for. It will feel like a natural extension of who you are.

2. The Fire and Water Teaching Framework

Instead of trying to piece together techniques or remember what to say, you get a set of simple, reliable structures to lean on. Prompts and teaching frameworks that make guiding someone through a session feel calm and spacious rather than stressful. The blueprint gives you shape and clarity so you can focus on presence, not perfection.

3. The Done-For-You 4-Week Course Blueprint

When you’re ready to teach your first group, you won’t be staring at a blank page. You’ll have a complete four-week course laid out for you: the weekly themes, the talking points, the sequence of practices. You can customise it to your voice or run it exactly as it is. It’s the simplest way to move from student to teacher without spending months building your own curriculum from scratch.

4. Real-World Practice and Feedback

Skill doesn’t come from theory. It comes from guiding real people and feeling your way through the nuances. Throughout the training, you’ll practice with others, experiment, adjust, and grow more grounded with each session. You’ll learn how to hold space without losing yourself, how to respond to emotional shifts, and how to stay steady even when someone comes to you with a full inner storm. By the time you finish, you won’t just “know the method.” You’ll have lived it.

5. The 200-page Meditation Teacher’s Manual

You’ll receive a full manual that blends tradition, science, and two decades of lived practice. It’s filled with scripts, teaching tips, prompts, and the underlying philosophy that holds this work together. It’s the kind of resource you return to again and again as your confidence and experience deepen. And because every live session is recorded for you, you’ll be able to revisit the teachings whenever you need a refresh or want to refine your approach.

There’s no one way to be a Fire and Water teacher or facilitator.

FOUNDER PHILOSOPHY

The point of meditation isn't to get better at meditating.

It's to get better at living.

Rewind about 15 years.

Back then, I was meditating for close to three hours a day.

Wild to think about now.

Sure, I was calm AF.

But I was also boring as bat shit.

I could sit with my legs crossed. Find stillness. Disappear inward for hours.

And yet underneath it all, my peace was fragile.

I needed my practice to feel okay. I was becoming more avoidant, more sensitive to life and less engaged with it.

I was getting really good at meditating.
I wasn't getting better at being human.

So I stopped.

And nothing fell apart.

In fact, I had space again. I had a life.

And with that space came a realisation that would eventually become the foundation of Fire & Water:

Meditation should make you more capable of meeting your life, not more dependent on escaping from it.

I'd become incredibly good at accessing Water: stillness, surrender, reflection.

But life doesn't only ask us to be still.

Sometimes it asks us to act. To speak. To take the risk. To tolerate the mess. To freakin’ move.

We need Water. And we need Fire.

That sent me searching:

How could we take the best of meditation and the related sciences without the spiritual theatrics, the wasted hours or losing ourselves in the process?

How could we use meditation to bring alive the parts of us that need awakening?

That search became the Fire & Water Method.

A pragmatic approach to meditation designed for real humans, living real lives.

Not to make you permanently calm.

To give you range.

MEDITATE TO LIVE.

DON'T LIVE TO MEDITATE.

Because ultimately, the meditation isn't the destination.

Your life is.

— Mikey

THE WORLD HAS CHANGED.

The way we guide people needs to change with it.

Here's the thing…

Life is moving fast right now.

We can't guide people the same way we could in 2006. Or even 2016.

People don't walk into a meditation class or 1:1 session as a blank slate.

They walk in having checked their email two seconds ago, just switched off an audiobook about parenting, texted their partner about who's picking up the kids and mentally added three things to tomorrow's to-do list.

That's not an easy mind to work with.

And it's why skilful meditation teachers are needed now more than ever.

Because I really, really don't want to put people off meditation.

But take that person and immediately launch into a floaty meditation where they wrap their troubles in a blanket and watch them float off into their celestial healing room

You've probably lost them.

Worse, they might leave believing:

“Meditation isn't for me.”

“My brain is too crazy to meditate.”

And that is such a bloody shame.

A great meditation teacher knows how to meet people where they are.

They know how to work with the mind that's actually in front of them — not the perfectly calm one they wish had walked through the door.

They know how to bring an overstimulated room down without making anyone feel like they're failing.

How to recognise when someone needs stillness, and when they need movement.

When they need to feel.

When they need to let go.

When they need Fire.

And when they need Water.

They know how to create an experience that means when someone opens their eyes, they don't simply feel “more relaxed.”

They might feel lighter.

Clearer. Braver. Playful. Connected. Excited. Alive.

That's the level of facilitation we teach inside MTT.

We don't want to create meditation teachers who can read a beautiful script.

We want to create teachers who understand people.

Teachers with the skill, range and confidence to meet a real human in a real moment and know how to lead them somewhere meaningful from there.

Because if we want more people meditating, we need more people having meditation experiences worth coming back for.

And that requires excellent teachers.

THERE IS A CRAFT TO THIS.

Powerful meditation experiences don't happen by accident.

There’s a reason some meditations stay with you for years, while others leave you wondering what you’re having for dinner.

It isn't luck.
It isn't having the perfect voice.

There is a craft to knowing how to move someone through an experience.

We’ve spent years teaching Fire & Water across different countries, cultures and industries, continually refining what creates noticeable change.

And now, we teach that craft.

You’ll learn how to:

Prime the brain so you’re not asking an overstimulated mind to magically become still.

Use the breath strategically to calm, energise, focus and shift state.

Work skilfully with emotion rather than suppressing it, bypassing it or getting lost in it.

Read the person or room in front of you and create a practice for the humans who actually showed up.

And master the subtle things that change everything:

Tone. Pacing. Language. Presence. Timing.

Because we’re not interested in teaching you how to read meditation scripts.

We’re teaching you how to become exceptional at facilitating humans.

Meet Your Teacher

My name is Michael King.

Meditation has been a great love of mine for many years.

But somewhere along the way, I became less interested in how good someone could get at meditating and much more interested in what happened after they opened their eyes.

Were they becoming more resilient?

More emotionally capable?

More courageous?

Could they handle discomfort better? Navigate relationships differently? Actually change the patterns that kept playing out in their lives?

Was the practice changing the person?

Those questions changed the trajectory of my work.

I began studying meditation alongside what we understand about neuroplasticity, breath, emotion, the nervous system and how humans actually learn and change.

And over years of teaching real people, something began to take shape.

Fire & Water.

A method designed not to make people permanently calm, but to give them greater access to themselves — the capacity to soften, feel and surrender and to act, express, create and move.

And after seeing what happened when people experienced this work, I realised something else:

I didn't want to be the only one who knew how to facilitate it.

If Fire & Water was going to reach more people, we needed exceptional teachers who could take the method into places we never could ourselves.

Coaching rooms. Yoga studios. Retreats. Workplaces. Communities. And into entirely new careers and bodies of work.

That's why we created Fire & Water Meditation Teacher Training.

Not simply to certify more meditation teachers.

To train people who can genuinely move people.

Ready to join us?

The next Fire & Water MTT begins October 2026.

Each training group is limited to just 10 people.

We keep MTT intentionally intimate. You'll be learning a nuanced skill, one that requires practice, feedback and support, and we want to know every person we're training and give you the attention required to become genuinely great at this work.

We want to know every person we’re training.

Because of this, we chat with every person before they join.

The process is simple:

Apply → Book a chat → See if we're a good fit.

Complete the short application that comes up once you click the button below, then choose a time to chat with me.

This isn't a high pressure sales call or something you need to prepare for. It's a chance for us to hear a little about you, answer your questions and make sure this feels like the right fit on both sides.

If none of the available times work, just send me a message on Instagram and we can find another time or even chat via voice notes.
